These terms form the agreement governing your use of the MinimalistKalori app (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you are deemed to have accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

1. Description of service

The App offers features such as calorie and nutrition tracking, meal/water/weight logging, estimated daily calorie and macro target calculation using the Mifflin-St Jeor method, weight trend and target-date projection, an AI-powered nutrition coach (AI Coach), photo-based food recognition, barcode scanning, and search in a Turkish food database. Some features are free; others require a Premium subscription.

Calculations and projections are statistical/approximate values; accuracy is not guaranteed.

2. Eligibility

The App is only for people aged 18 and over. Age is verified during setup, and users found to be under 18 are blocked from entering. By using the App, you represent that you are over 18.

3. Medical disclaimer

The App is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or professional dietary/medical services. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a chronic condition, a history of an eating disorder, or are taking medication, do not follow the App's targets without consulting a doctor or dietitian. In a medical emergency, contact the appropriate health services.

4. AI features

The AI Coach and photo food recognition features run using a third-party large language model (Google Gemini). These features:

• May produce incorrect, incomplete, or misleading results; the calorie/macro values they generate are estimates.
• Are not professional health, nutrition, or fitness advice.
• Mean that decisions you make based on the information provided are your own responsibility.

What data is processed and where it is sent for AI requests is explained in the Privacy Policy.

5. Premium subscription

5.1. Plans and pricing

The current price, discounts, and currency are shown on the in-app payment screen and on the App Store; these may vary by region and Apple's currency/tax adjustments.

5.2. Free trial

Eligible users may be offered a 7-day free trial. The trial is for users who have not previously used a trial/introductory offer in the same subscription group. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.

5.3. Auto-renewal

Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically for the same duration and price. The charge is taken from the payment method on your Apple ID within 24 hours before the period ends. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you move to a paid subscription.

5.4. Cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription from App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation does not take effect immediately; renewal stops at the end of the period you've already paid for, and Premium access continues until then. Cancellation cannot be done from within the app; it is handled through Apple.

5.5. Restoring purchases

You can reactivate a subscription previously purchased with the same Apple ID using "Restore Purchases."

5.6. Apple's terms

Purchases and subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store, and Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply. Payment, refund, and billing processes are managed by Apple. Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy, without prejudice to applicable consumer law.

6. Rules of use

While using the App, you agree that:

• You will enter accurate and up-to-date information; incorrect information affects calculations.
• You will not use the App in a way that violates applicable law or these terms.
• You will not abuse the App or our servers, disrupt the service with excessive/automated requests, reverse-engineer it, or attempt to bypass security measures.
• You will not use the AI features to generate illegal, harmful content, or content that infringes third-party rights.

We may restrict or terminate your access if you use the App in violation of these rules.

7. Intellectual property

All rights to the App's code, design, interface, text, logo, Turkish food database, and other content belong to Samet Şahin or its licensors. Subject to your compliance with these terms, you are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App.

Data you enter (meals, weight, notes, etc.) belongs to you; these terms do not grant us ownership rights over your data.

8. Third-party services

The App uses third-party services such as Google Gemini (AI), Cloudflare (relay server infrastructure), Open Food Facts (product database), and Apple (distribution, payment, Health). The continuity, accuracy, or availability of these services is not under our control and is subject to their own terms and conditions.

9. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." No express or implied warranty is given that it will operate uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Samet Şahin shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the App, inaccuracy of calculations and projections, AI-generated output, interruptions in third-party services, or data loss. Where liability cannot be limited, Samet Şahin's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Your rights under consumer law that cannot be waived by contract remain reserved.

10. Changes to the service and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, content, or these terms from time to time. We will provide notice within the App or on this page for significant changes. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the current terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. For disputes between the parties, Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts have jurisdiction within applicable monetary limits for consumer transactions; otherwise, the courts and enforcement offices at Samet Şahin's place of residence have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer rights are reserved.

12. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding use of the App.
